Snowplow Safety Reminders
- Drivers need room to do their job! When traveling behind a plow, please be patient and leave at least three car lengths of distance between you and the plow.
- Do not drive directly behind a plow and NEVER pass a plow.
- Snowplows cannot clear snow effectively if cars are parked on the roadside. If its going to snow on your car, it is going to snow on the road. Park it on your lawn or driveway.
- Keep your trash bins for pick up back from the road so the plows don't knock them over.
- Drivers should stay back from intersections when encountering a working plow.
Pedestrians! If you see a snowplow, assume that the driver hasn't seen you and move off the sidewalk into a yard where you are clearly visible!
Same Team! Same Team! - Do not throw snow in the road, before or after the snowplow has come by!
