Bill was appointed to the position of Phelps Town Supervisor effective January 2, 2024.
Bill and his family are life-long residents of the Phelps-Clifton Springs area. After graduating from Midlakes High School in 1989 he continued onto to Finger Lakes Community College and then SUNY Brockport where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. In 1994 he began a law enforcement career with the Village of Clifton Spring Police Department before transferring to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office in 1996. Since that time he has had various assignments within the Sheriff’s Office including School Resource Officer at Midlakes before being promoted to his current rank of Criminal Investigator. Bill lives in Clifton Springs with his wife Allison and three children.
“In the fall of 2017 I was elected Town Councilman on the Phelps Town Board, I ran for the position because I believe in the vision of the Town of Phelps and only want the best for the people who live here. I am proud of the strong agricultural industry we have in Phelps and support the large number of locally owned businesses which contribute to the successful future of our community.”
