Amy was elected to the position of Town Clerk effective January 1, 2025. Prior to being elected, Amy was appointed by the Phelps Town Board for the position for 2024. 

A former Rochester, NY native, Amy has been a resident of the Town of Phelps for over 30 years and had previously held the position of Deputy Town Clerk from 2016 to 2023.  Amy has over 25 years experience in local government, including the position of Zoning and Planning Secretary for the Town of Manchester for 21 years. 

Amy and her husband Rick have been blessed with a lovely and talented daughter.

Linda is a life-long resident of the Town of Phelps, having graduated from Phelps High School and years later attending Finger Lakes Community College. She retired from her 25-year elected position of Phelps Town Clerk in December 2023 and has graciously agreed to stay on as part-time Deputy Town Clerk, to everyone's delight at the Town offices. 

She is married to David Nieskes (Retired Village Clerk/Treasurer) and has been blessed with a son, a daughter, four grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
