Councilman – Ron Allen

Ron Allen is a graduate of Midlakes High School and a life-long resident of the Phelps/Clifton Springs area. He and his wife have raised two children, Chris and Lisa, and enjoy spending time with their three grandchildren, Kara, Adam and Adeline.
Ron retired after 30 years at Eastman Kodak as a tradesperson welder/pipefitter, working on various projects, some in the position of foreman where he supervised upwards of 40 people. Ron has also worked as chairperson and co-chairperson on the United Way “Day of Caring” organizing all of the projects for his fellow Kodak employees. Ron was nominated for and won the first ever William Fowble award for outstanding volunteer work for United Way for Kodak. Ron was also employed by Local 13 Plumbers and Pipefitters of Rochester, NY, working for local contractors in the area and also on different nuclear power plants and refineries across the northeast.
Ron has previously served on the Phelps Town Board for 4 years and has been a 32 year member of the Town of Phelps Planning Board with 10 years as chairperson. He also sat on the Clifton Springs YMCA board for 10 years, 1 year as president. His volunteer efforts include 12 years on the Sonneberg Gardens Board of Directors, 1 year as president and served alongside his wife in running the Haunted Garden Halloween Spectacular for 12 years.
Councilman – John Duchesneau

John has resided in Phelps for over thirty years since marrying his wife, Kathy, who is a lifelong Phelps resident. John and Kathy have two children, Meggin and Madison, and two grandchildren, Nathan and Nora.
John began his career at Xerox, where he worked in facilities operations and project management, as well as serving as Senior Supplier Manager for the company’s Construction and Energy purchases. He holds a Master of Science degree in Management from Keuka College and is a Certified Purchasing Manager.
John was on the Board of Directors for Rochester District Heating Cooperative (RDH) for several years. In 2011 John left Xerox and joined RDH as the General Manager, with overall responsibility for the management, supervision, and operations of RDH.

Councilman – Kent Ridley

Kent works for Road and Bridge Construction and has been in the excavation business for 45 years. Kent has lived in Phelps all his life and has been a councilman since 2011.
